Blancafort's symphonic work dedicated to his parents. It was released on March 11th, 1929, in Barcelona by the Liceo Orchestra directed by Joan Lamote de Grignon in the National Music Festival that brought together works by Blancafort, Albeniz, Samper, Ricard Lamote and Manel Palau, and also Spanish choral works.
«[...] Young composer who demonstrates in this work the knowledge of orchestration and deft hand for orchestral development, modernity in harmonious work and fantasy in the symphonic development of the themes [...] Matí de festa (Festive morning) is a symphonic work that proves the good condition of its author.»
J. Pahissa
