Boileau Music Publisher, with a great experiencie in publishing musical pedagogy works in our country, now puts the fruit of its long experience at the disposal of music education for Primary Education, with the six volumes that make up the Pentagrama Escolar series.
Its authors, Carme Amat and Anna Casanova, are perfect connoisseurs of the subject, since they have extensive experience in teaching music. In fact, they have already had the opportunity to capture it in Pentagrama - Lenguaje Musical - Grado Elemental (4 volumes) and Pentagrama - Pre-lenguaje books, also published in our editorial.
The Pentagrama Escolar consists of six volumes, each of which is perfectly adapted to the Primary Education curriculum of the corresponding course. The contents are presented with amenity and rigor, in a way that not only educates musical sensitivity, but also provides a solid base for those who want to study music in more depth in the future.
Each book contains eight units, each one of which is divided, in turn, into eight specific sections, with enough pedagogical material to work during the course, part of which is on the CD that accompanies each volume.
Pentagrama Escolar 2 includes Historia de un Pentagrama.
The eight sections mentioned are broken down as follows:
- THEORY: In a very intuitive way, the basic concepts are introduced to understand the constituent elements of music, indispensable for subsequent practice, without thereby avoiding specific musical terminology.
- CALLIGRAPHY AND RHYTHM: It is important that, from the beginning, the student learns to correctly draw the musical symbols, which will undoubtedly make reading easier. Regarding the rhythm, exercises are practiced that contribute to acquiring a correct perception of the regularity in the pulsation and the unfolding of the different rhythms on it. Clapping and taking advantage of the accentuation of words is a great help to achieve this and this section insists precisely on these two practices.
- WE INTONE AND SING: Musical notes are progressively introduced with their corresponding tuning and the section is complemented with repertoire taken from popular music.
- WE LEARN TO WRITE: It affects the correct written reproduction of the sounds and repertoire studied.
Each volume of Pentagrama Escolar has a guía didáctica for the teacher.
