Boileau Music Publishing, the pioneer in the publication of works of musical pedagogy in our country, now puts the fruit of his long experience available to the teaching of music for Primary Education, with the six volumes that make up the Pentagrama Escolar

Its authors, Carme Amat and Anna Casanova, are perfect connoisseurs of the subject since they have extensive experience in teaching music. In fact, they have already had the opportunity to capture it in the books of Pentagrama Grado Elemental (4 volumes) and Pentagrama Pre-lenguaje, also published in our editorial.

Pentagrama Escolar consists of six volumes, each of which adapts perfectly to the primary education curriculum of the corresponding course. The contents are presented with amenity and rigor so that they not only educate musical sensitivity but also provide a solid base for those who wish to study music in more depth in the future.

Each book contains eight units, each of which are divided, in turn, into eight specific sections, with enough pedagogical material to work during the course, part of which is on the CD that accompanies each volume.

Pentagrama Escolar 2 includes the song Història de un Pentagrama.

The eight sections mentioned are broken down as follows:

  • THEORY: In a very intuitive way the basic concepts are introduced to understand the constitutive elements of music, indispensable for later practice, without avoiding the specific musical terminology.
  • CALIGRAPHY AND RHYTHM: It is important that, from the beginning, the student learns to correctly draw the musical symbols, which will undoubtedly facilitate reading. With regard to rhythm, exercises are practiced that contribute to acquiring a correct perception of the regularity in the pulsation and the unfolding of the different rhythms on it. Clapping and taking advantage of word stress is helpful to achieve this and this section insists precisely on these two practices.
  • THEN AND SING: The musical notes are introduced progressively with their corresponding tuning and the section is complemented with repertoire extracted from popular music.
  • WE LEARN TO WRITE: It affects the correct written reproduction of the sounds and repertoire studied.
  • ORIGINAL SONGS: Each unit contains an original song by the authors, which is recorded with and without melody (version "minus one"), on the CD that accompanies each book. The songs have very different styles, both in terms of melodies and arrangements, and are grouped in each of the volumes according to a theme that serves as a guiding thread.
  • In the first book, all the songs are related to the different times and festivities of the year. The second contains the song Historia de un Pentagrama.
  • BODY EXPRESSION: Each of the units proposes different activities to learn to coordinate the movements of the body with the rhythm of the music, recorded on the CD that accompanies the free.
  • AUDITION: It is intended to educate the ear so that, consciously, the student is able to recognize the different timbres, heights ... The material corresponding to this section is found on the CD attached to the book.
  • REVIEW, PAINT, AND PEGA: In the form of hobbies (review dotted lines, paint, place stickers ...), this section helps the student to become familiar with the different musical instruments.

Each volume of the Pentagrama Escolar corresponds to a didactic guide for the teacher.
