We present a new edition of the book of 2nd year of professional degree with the aim of being a useful and interesting work tool in the path of learning the musical language, adapted to current curricula.
We have distributed the contents in nine work units, designed so that tasks can be scheduled and distributed for the nine months of the school year. However, the type of work allows teachers to establish order, dedication and degree of depth according to the level and response of the students.
We want to emphasize that its content is inspired by the materials of the series My music book, by Fr. Ireneu Segarra.
Each of the nine work units contains different sections: work of starting work unit, intonation, rhythm, reading music, reading at first sight and, in some units, an analysis work.
The contents that are worked on are presented in a gradual manner in terms of tonalities, rhythmic elements and analysis and form, but it is not excluded that other more complex contents can be worked on that can be presented in the works that work with the teachers' criteria and also , add all the work of creation and improvisation that is appropriate according to the level and characteristics of the students.
It can be observed that in this edition we have incorporated a diversity of methodological proposals for the different exercises and, also, general didactic orientations for the different sections. The faculty can use them, add or vary according to their criteria. You can also find in this publication a section dedicated to the analysis vocabulary.
We understand that it is very important to start from an auditory observation of music, in order to discover the particularity of each element or procedure that is worked on and feel its function in the context of music.
