We present a new edition of the book of 1st year of professional degree in order to be a useful and interesting work tool in the path of learning the musical language, and we have done it taking into account that it can be adapted to the plans of current studies.
We have distributed the contents in nine work units so that tasks can be scheduled and distributed for a school year. However, the type of work allows teachers to establish the order, dedication and degree of deepening according to the level and the response of the students.
We want to emphasize that the content has been inspired by the materials of the books My music book, by Fr. Ireneu Segarra.
Each one of the nine work units contains different sections: work of beginning of work unit, which revolves around a tonality to work, intonation, rhythm, musical reading, reading at first sight and, in some units, a work of auditory analysis.
The contents of each unit are presented in a gradual manner, but it is not excluded that they can be extended with other contents of greater complexity that can be presented in the works being worked on, always at the discretion of the teaching staff. We also recommend adding all the work of creation and improvisation that is appropriate according to the level and characteristics of the students.
It can be observed that in this new edition we have incorporated a diversity of methodological pro - posals for the different exercises and, also, general didactic orientations for the different sections. The faculty can use them, add or vary according to their criteria.
We understand that it is very important to start from an auditory observation of music, and that is why the analysis work aims to reinforce this capacity, discover the par-particularity of each element or procedure that is worked on and feel its function within the context of music.
