Hesperia Trio emerged thanks to the initiative of pianist Dani Liguori. He was who suggested the idea of writing a work for the TRIO LOM, in which also play Joan Orpella (violin) and José Mor (cello). Soon the work was performed regularly. It is pretty common when I write for the first time for a certain type of ensemble, in this case the trio for piano, violin and cello, that I make a tribute to tradition. It is what I wanted in this first incursion into the genre. The work has classical structure, with a language that at times refers to the Iberian folk tradition. Formally there is an allusion to the sonata in the second movement while the first one is more free and announces the themes that appear later in the «Allegro».
