Tre divertimenti op. 68 for flute and guitar was composed during the summer of 1994. The three pieces follow ternary structures and are also combined in a kind of a triangle (fast-slow-fast). Although each piece includes individual thematic material and a contrasting character, the three divertimenti share the same frigian flavour, so typical in our guitar music.
The first divertimento is essentially intimate developing a murmuring dialog between two instruments. The central divertimento is especially bucolic, lyrical with expressive and wavy lines in the flute. The last divertimento is more rhythmic and impacting with metric changes and a central part texturally more relaxed always continuing the motor course of the piece.
