STRADIVARI is a collection in three volumes, fruit of a personal challenge: to get my students to play the violin more motivated, without giving up for it a complete training of the instrument. My intention has been to put in the hands of the student and the teacher all the elements that I think they need to achieve it.
The three volumes cover the entire elementary grade and are organized according to the fingering schemes so widely used in Anglo-Saxon methods; starting with 0-1-23-4 in the first volume, continuing in the second with 0-12-3-4 and 0-1-2-34, and in the third volume with 01-2-34 and 01-2 -3-4. In this way the student learns the entire chromatic scale in first position. In the third volume we also work in the third position.
I have tried to sequence the difficulties very gradually; of the rhythms, the notes, the dynamics and the harmonics to the double strings, the changes of position and the chords of three notes, trying to combine different tonalities, bars and alterations so that the learning is complete. At the beginning of each volume there is a summary of the most commonly used scales and arpeggios, with exercises of bow strokes and ligatures.
One of the great attractions of the book, in my opinion, is the variety of musical styles it contains, which already motivate the student and accustom him to interpreting different types of music. The accompaniments are recorded on the CD that accompanies each of the books, and range from modern styles to the most classic with very different instrumentations. Apart from jazz, tango, Celtic music or country, there are also some more "serious" pieces, such as the studios (two in each book) or the concertinos (one in each book), which serve as a summary of the whole technique worked.
For students who find the accompaniment of the CD too fast, the accompaniment written in the piano book (B.3607) is also available, which is also very useful for playing in auditions or concerts.
