As its name indicates, the work is structured and responds to the formal type of Sonata. It consists of three movements, Allegro Moderato, Adagio and Rondo Allegro. A work of an impressionist character, we could say, and at the same time contemporary in its context and musical content. Very flute-like in general, both in terms of technique and inspiration, as well as for all its registers.

1st Movement, Allegro Moderato.
With many contrapuntal turns and imitations between flute and piano. With a very careful musical work regarding the counterpoint and the dialogue that takes place and exists between both instruments, as well as the other themes that appear in this movement. Not forgetting the other melodic turns that follow one after the other.

2nd Movement, Adagio.
Full of expression and musical romanticism. With a curious and appropriate piano accompaniment, which imprints a certain intimate and nostalgic air in the course of this second movement. Later appears a Cadenza, in charge of the Flute, which will show the good taste of the performer in terms of phrasing and musical execution.

3rd Movement, Rondo Allegro.
It is characterised by the prominence of the theme A and/or complementary themes, typical of the Rondo type. In bar 33 the theme A appears, curiously in the key of E major, which gives variety and colour to the musical discourse. This last movement is developed without any other particularity and within the canons that characterise this musical style. The work ends with the last four bars, as an imitation of the theme A or Main theme, in the form of intervals of fourths, played by the Flute in octave unison with the Piano, to conclude this "Sonata" immediately. A work, as we have commented above, very flute-like and appropriate for this instrument. All this with the accompaniment of the piano, which at certain moments plays a leading role. The whole makes this Sonata a pleasant and constant musical dialogue, both for the soloist (flute) and for the accompanist (piano), and a musical pleasure for the listener.

I. Allegro moderato (2'32'')
II Adagio (4'00'')
III Rondo allegro (3'23'')
