Preludio para Lima, a work for solo guitar written in 2004, was composed for the Cuban guitarist Miguel Bonachea, to whom the work is dedicated. He himself premiered it at the 2nd Festival de Música Clásica Contemporánea de Lima. It is a piece of simple ternary construction and introspective character in which the repeated note plays an important and expressive role.
