The collection La amante includes three songs: Si me fuera, amante mía; Madrigal y Nana del peine perdido and Madruga, la amante mía. Based on texts by the Andalusian poet Rafael Alberti, there is a notable flamenco inspiration which is elegantly conveyed with an imitation of the strumming and arpeggiated chords of the guitar, especially in Madrigal.

Niño is based on a text by the Cantabrian poet Gerardo Diego. It is a work that reveals the composer’s constant search to find the perfect sonority. The song is an authentic musical demonstration of the jewelers’ art with subtle melisma in the melody and an accompaniment filled with details.

Danza is a version for mezzo soprano and orchestra of the same work written for mezzo and piano.  It is also published by Boileau in B .B.3892 and is based on a short text by the Andalusian poet Federico García Lorca (1898 -1936), Danza en el huerto de la petenera.
