Professor Cristóbal Zamora, specialist in Aural Education and expert in the education systems of this discipline in the European and American contexts, has been able to systematize, in this work, the study of the aural education, fundamental aspect in the global formation of any musician. With twenty-four units, one for each key and always organized around four modules: melodic fragments, intervals, chordal triads and dictation, has been able to develop a systematic method of work that facilitates the work to the student. With the student's book a CD is included with the examples and proposed musical exercises.
The existence of the teacher's book makes the work suitable for professional level students and musicians interested on self taught aural education. We are convinced that this work by professor Zamora, to which new volumes undoubtedly shall follow, will contribute to improve the study of the aural perception, in order to transform the musical interpreter into a true qualified listener not only regarding the music that he/she interprets or write, but also the music that he/she listens to.
