Jan's grandfather goes to look for his grandson when he leaves school. Glad to see him, Jan introduces him to his friend Carla and together they ask him to tell them a story. The grandfather will take advantage of these beautiful spring days to tell them one of the most beautiful stories of our popular culture: the legend of Sant Jordi.
Muriel makes an adaptation of the traditional story incorporating the figures of two children as spectators and that of the grandfather of one of them as a narrator. It captures the attention of readers -small and older- making them also spectators thanks to the electrifying music that the CD of the book collects. And not satisfied with this, he also invites them to act as actors and musicians, with the possibility of singing on the CD tracks without a voice. With these songs the author updates this legend in a fascinating way: Sant Jordi happens to be a superhero who rides on a pop-rock violin melody; the princess, a brave heroine who does not faint in the face of adversity; the Dragon, a funny rapper hungry for fresh meat, and the King, the interpreter of a beautiful musical style ballad...
Teresa Herrero has created a wonderful visual world to accompany the story. Thanks to his imaginative ability, he leaves us trapped in the rich colors of the scenarios and the characterization of each character. A fun and modern version of the great legend of Sant Jordi, where music and characters blow our imagination.
