Elegía (Elegy) is a score that marks a twofold significant moment in the life of the composer: the death of Igor Markevitch in 1983 and her return to compositions after more than twenty years of silence in this field.
The score, composed spontaneously that same year as an expressive need in a moment of deep sorrow, was written for clarinet (or violin), violoncello and piano. The premier took place at the Instituto de España in London on February 2, 1984, performed by the Trio Romaní to whom the work is dedicated.
