Duetto di primavera [Spring Duet], Two Violins

A duet for two violins in six movements with a cheerful and light character. The first movement begins with a strong introduction leading to the «Allegro molto», which has folkloric roots—everything is pleasurable. The second movement is suave and naive.  «Scherzo», the third movement, is playful and also has folkloric inspiration. The fourth movement, «Andante semplice», is calm and pensive using imitation. The fifth movement is very special. It represents two friends who have been drinking a little too much and are walking around together with their arms linked. The final movement is rapid, rhythmic jumping and also imitation.
