Work for solo violin composed in Barcelona in August 1990. It is a short work, but of great technical and expressive difficulty. It consists of a single movement, although there are three parts differentiated by the tempo: the beginning, «Maestoso», contains an intense passage with staccato arpeggios and a small dialogue between pizzicato and the intense metal sound achieved with sul ponticello. The central part, «più adagio», is more lyrical and expressive. The end returns to the «Maestoso» tempo, characterized by continuous changes of measure.
Xavier Turull dedicated this work to the violinist Santiago de la Riva.
