GOLD COLLECTION, Vol. III (Short pieces for piano)
- Morning Song
- See you soon!
- The little orphan
- Song of the groom
- On the mountain
With the three volumes of the Gold Collection, Editorial Boileau offers to the piano students a prime material in order to reach, under the tutelage of a Professor, an optimal development of their artistic personality.
The analysis, understanding and interpretation of this Gold Collection by Enric Morera will lead to a proper maturity and to face more substantial musical works in the elementary level.
The editor
The main attraction of this collection of small pieces, divided into three volumes, lies in its simplicity and in its melodic inspiration, deeply rooted in Catalan folklore. In this sense, may establish a parallel with the Basque Preludes by the father Donosti. We must not forget that Morera is one of the greatest composers of «Sardanas», and now he gives us a whole book (the Volume II of the collection) of sardanas-miniatures.
The harmonic simplicity, with the proper modulations of popular music, and the remarkable variety of articulations and nuances, give to these works an attractive enough to be incorporated in the programming of the music centres.
