A work that the maestro Jordi Cervelló wrote with the renowned Ukrainian violinist and teacher Boris Kuschnir, one of the teachers who has had the greatest influence on the violin career of the performer María Dueñas, admired by the author and to whom he has dedicated numerous works.
The title, which in English means "variety of colours", reflects the whole range of colourful nuances contained in this work of difficult execution and virtuoso character, written for violin and piano.
The opening Presto cadenza of the solo violin is followed by an Allegro molto in which both instruments are already involved and which has the character of a perpetual movement. Expressive passages are interspersed with great technical demands (although it flows naturally for the performer as it is written with the nature of the instrument in mind). The work ends with a new Presto of great spectacularity and forcefulness.
