Madrid - Madrid 1832
Juan Balado is one of the Royal Court composers who remains largely unknown and undocumented. His compositions were sparse in numbers and his life relatively unremarkable. He did audition for the Royal Chapel orchestra on three occasions , finally achieving the last viola place in 1804, He then rose to the position of first violin which he occupied until his death in 1832.4 He was also a violinist in the ¨Chapel de las Desclazas Reales¨ and in the ¨House of Osuna¨.
